Apple’s upcoming fourth-generation iPhone SE is anticipated to launch in the first half of this year.

After a series of rumors about its release timeline, fresh leaks have now surfaced, revealing key details about the device’s specifications. The iPhone SE 4 is believed to feature a 60Hz OLED display, the powerful A18 Bionic chip, and a 48-megapixel rear camera. It may be marketed as the iPhone 16e, positioned as a budget-friendly alternative to the iPhone 16.
Rumored iPhone SE 4 Specifications
Leaked information from tipster Digital Chat Station on Weibo suggests that the iPhone SE 4, or iPhone 16e, will soon be unveiled and is expected to be Apple’s most affordable iPhone model. The device is rumored to come with a 6.06-inch full-HD+ LTPS OLED screen, featuring a 60Hz refresh rate and a notch design. The display could also support Face ID. The iPhone SE 4 will likely run on Apple’s latest A18 Bionic chip, similar to the iPhone 16.
The rear camera setup is tipped to consist of a single 48-megapixel camera. The phone is expected to have a metal middle frame, with a waterproof design to enhance durability.
Another tipster, Smart Pikachu, also confirmed the presence of a single rear camera and hinted that the iPhone SE 4 may feature Apple’s in-house developed baseband chip, which could refer to the company’s proprietary 5G modem.
Originally, it was speculated that the iPhone SE 4 would debut later this month alongside the iPad 11 and software updates for iOS 18.3 and iPadOS 18.3. However, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman has stated that the iPhone SE 4 is more likely to be launched by the end of April. Pricing is expected to be under $500 (approximately ₹42,000), with South Korea’s pricing speculated to exceed KRW 800,000 (around ₹46,000).
Additionally, the iPhone SE 4 is rumored to offer two RAM options: 6GB and 8GB LPDDR5, along with an aluminum frame and a USB Type-C port for charging and data transfer.
